NEW YORK - The Palestinian Authority believes 14 of the 15 member states of the Security Council of the United Nations (UNSC) will condemn Israeli construction projects in the Palestinian territories. The county is Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem.

Palestinian UN envoy Riyad Mansour give predictions, the UN Security Council members, except the United States (U.S.) will be voted to condemn Israel stance. Exactly on this day, the UN Security Council will hold a meeting.

"Unfortunately, a strong country with veto power, do not want to see the UN Security Council doing it (condemnation of Israel)," said Mansour, told Arutz Sheva on Wednesday (19/12/2012).

"But there are 14 other countries in the Security Council that would clarify his position on this issue," he added.

Country  Uncle Sam ever used its veto power to thwart the resolution pressuring Israel. But until now, the U.S. position on the resolution to be discussed is unclear. The U.S. itself had expressed disappointment with Israel over settlement construction.

"We are very disappointed that Israel continues its provocative actions. Plans for these settlements is an act contrary to peace. The leaders of Israel are voiced its support for a two state solution, but it hinders their actions," said a spokeswoman for the U.S. State Department Victoria Nuland.

Despite expressing disappointment against Israel, Nuland said the U.S. does not need to issue a special condemnation for Israel in the UN Security Council. Nuland argues the U.S. better take useful action in creating the peace process.
