LONDON - English considering putting warplanes in the Persian Gulf. The plan comes as the simmering confrontation with Iran over its nuclear program.
Eurofighter Typhoon jets would be deployed by the British after the British negotiations with the United Arab Emirates. Prime Minister David Cameron will announce the time to send fighter planes to the Middle East.
The presence of British fighter jets would make Iran furious assessed, because Iran has always said that the foreign military presence in the Gulf will cause instability security. Although the UK explained that the presence of fighter jets was not intended to attack Iran, tensions will certainly take place.
So far, the UK intends to put fighter jets in Abu Dhabi which is also a haven military emnjadi United States (U.S.) and French. On Wednesday, British Defense Secretary Philip Hammond also expressed urgency will close relationship of Europe and the Middle East.
"European countries should be ready to emmainkan role in relation to North Africa and the Middle East," Hammond said, as quoted by The Independent on Saturday (11/03/2012).
The deployment of fighter jets was also part of the exercise routine and a British military commitment to the United Arab Emirates to ensure security in the Middle East. Britain insists his country was ready guarantee security and stability of the countries Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
