NEWCASTLE - A school in the town of Newcastle, Australia made a scene after one of the students brought a hand grenade into the place. Pupil brings grenade as part of their presentation in class.
Pupils as young as 11 years old did not know that the object he was carrying was a grenade. He thought the body as a piggy bank, it is not known from where the students are getting dangerous goods.
"One of our students unwittingly brought a grenade to school, he thought it was a piggy bank," said principal Boyd Allen, as quoted by Sky News, Thursday (06/12/2012).

"The student showed the object to a teacher in class, the teacher realized it was no piggy bank but grenades and call in the school," added Allen.

"Our team checked out the grenade and sent some photos to the Ministry of Defence. They take seriously the findings and sent messengers to take the grenade, "said the Newcastle police officer, Gerard Lawson.
Police said the grenade is a grenade commonly used during World War II. The pupils at the school were finally repatriated to their homes because the school decided to close the school on that day.
