Many Syrians Residents Choose So Israel

Majdal Shams - the Golan Heights, is a territory seized by Israel through the Six Day War. The majority of residents in the region is a native of Syria, but this time, they become citizens of Israel.

According to one resident Golan, Shufi One, many of the Golan who became citizens of Israel the conflict Syria. They also intensively hire a lawyer to save himself from the punishment of the Government of Syria.

"People here are not sure about the situation in Syria and they want democracy," said, as quoted by USA Today, Thursday (25/10/2012).

"They worry that when the Golan Heights back to Syria, they would be punished for accepting Israeli citizenship. They still have many relatives who live in Syria," he added.
